In 2018, I was commissioned by Cristina Mazzavillani Muti for a 3D sound design project (using d&b audiotechnik’s Soundscape system – powered by BH AUDIO) for Verdi’s famous opera Nabucco.

For this project, I created seven immersive sound design compositions that I was able to spacialise in the theatres using more than 40 speakers and d&b audiotechnik’s Soundscape system. Some of my electronic pieces were conceived as Intros to the acts I, III and IV, where others were played during the actual opera to emphasise particularly dramatic moments during the piece, e.g. sonic Deus Ex Machinas.

Nabucco was played during the Ravenna Festival on 23rd, 27th, 30th November 2018 at Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna and on 11th and 13th January 2019 at Teatro Comunale in Ferrara.
